Today we announced a year-long sponsorship deal with Invisible Traffick, one of Northern Ireland’s leading anti-human trafficking charities.
Our support will allow the charity to deliver their message to thousands more people across Northern Ireland and to highlight the need for all responsible businesses to be aware of the issues of human trafficking and modern day slavery.
In a joint statement, the LM Services Directors commented, “As we all become more aware of the horrors of modern day slavery happening right now in our communities, we are delighted to sponsor Invisible Traffick as they endeavour to support those affected, educating the wider public on how we can all spot the signs and indicators and to report what we see. No one should be held against their will and made to do things that they don’t want to do. Slavery was abolished many years ago but as we have now learnt, it is still happening. We want to help this amazing charity as they fight to make the invisible, visible.”
Invisible Traffick was established in 2012, it offers a Freephone helpline to support victims and survivors of human trafficking and allows the general public to report suspicious behaviour. The charity also runs a successful education programme, delivering talks and workshops in schools and youth groups across Northern Ireland. In addition the charity also presents to businesses, healthcare professionals and educators to promote awareness of human trafficking.
